BIG 3 inch bottom section tapers to 5/8 of inch at the top for flexibility and strength.The two 4 Inch 3/8ths thick aluminum channels are spaced 4 inches apart and bridged together to form the foldover base for raising and lowering of this massive vertical. This Antenna is made for high power 20-80 meter multiband operation ( 160 with top loading ) with full bandwidth on all bands and includes our 5 kw 4 to 1 super UNUN matching transformer with mounting plate and leads.Why settle for 2 bands with limited bandwidth, when you can have 6 bands with UNLIMITED bandwidth AND NO TRAP LOSS.OnRecent side by side tests this vertical outperforms a monoband 40 meter 1/4 wave and is comparable to a full 1/4 wave on 80 meters.  A minimum of 16 radials are suggested.All mounting hardware is included with this vertical.Foldover base might differ than pictured.This vertical comes standard with base that mounts to a concrete pad.If you need a different mounting like to a 6X6 post or for elevated tower section please call with your requirements.
